About Sumter County Intermediate School

Sumter County Intermediate School (SCIS) is proud to serve students in grades 4–6 as part of Sumter County Schools.  Under the administration of Principal Dr. Mohan Gugulothu, and Assistant Principals, Mr. Rodney Shelton, and Dr. Pamela Douglas, our school is committed to creating a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student is encouraged to grow, achieve, and reach their full potential.

At SCIS, we believe in educating the whole child through strong academics, literacy, technology, innovation, character development, and opportunities for students to discover and develop their unique talents. Our faculty and staff work together with families and the community to provide meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for success in middle school and beyond.

We are proud of the progress our students and school community continue to make. Through a culture that is focused, resilient, respectful, and united, SCIS strives to overcome challenges, celebrate achievement, and help every student recognize what is possible.
